Welcome to Braywood Juniors Latest News

We have a growing and popular Juniors section at Braywood and we are investing in its expansion so we can enter teams into the Berkshire Youth League and provide opportunities for young cricketers to compete in age group teams.

Our coaching sessions are on Sunday mornings from 10 till 12 at our private ground between Fifield and Oakley Green, just to the west of Windsor. We had an enjoyable and successful 2011 with sessions running until 28th August for an annual fee of £30 per child.

Our coaching group comprises four ECB Level 2 and three ECB Level 1 coaches.

Children may join from age 6 or older and enjoy a fun introduction to the game using soft balls and plastic bats. When children have gained enough confidence they progress to playing with a hard ball and we provide all the protective kit to ensure this transition is safely made. As the young cricketers develop their skills further they embark on formal net practice sessions including use of our bowling machine.

It is important to us that the children in our Juniors enjoy learning their cricket in a safe environment and we have our own Club Welfare Officer who oversees the implementation of our Safeguarding Policy. Any issues relating to child welfare would be dealt with by the Club Welfare Officer fully confidentially.
Read our Safeguarding Policy here.
